From October 2-8, Crosspoint is joining other Atlantic Canadian congregations of all sizes, representing multiple denominations, to actively seek ways to serve and bless our local communities as a demonstration of the love and compassion of Christ.

*Please be aware that all food donations are to be delivered to Crosspoint no later than 1 PM on Thursday, October 6.

CP Youth & CP Kids

WHAT

Following up on Crosspoint’s recent school supply drive, CP Youth & CP Kids are joining forces to complete a hands-on project on the campus of Gibson-Neill Memorial Elementary School.

This project will be focused on exterior clean up both around the school and specifically on the playground.

CP Staff

WHAT

Following a suggestion submitted by a Crosspoint congregant, the CP staff is going to assist a local woman with mobility issues who lives alone with some projects around her home.

WHEN

The CP staff is taking part of the day on Wednesday to engage in this service opportunity together.

CP Seniors
(+ anyone else)

WHAT

Fredericton faces an ongoing concern with food insecurity amongst many of our own neighbours and community members. Crosspoint has an existing partnership with Greener Village to help fill this gap.

The CP Seniors, led by the suggestion of one of their own long-time members, are planning a food collection drive.

The following items items are specifically and urgently needed in Fredericton:

  • Canned meat/fish 
  • Boxed cookies 
  • Pasta 
  • Pasta sauce 
  • Kids snacks (granola bars, goldfish, etc)

*Any brand of the items listed above is acceptable.

All donations must be delivered to Crosspoint no later than 1 PM on Thursday, October 6. 

WHO

CP Congregation

WHAT

Crosspoint routinely partners with Boaz Ministries, an organization that supports vulnerable people both in Fredericton and around the globe.

There are 11 families who recently emigrated from Ukraine to the Fredericton area. Crosspoint is joining with Boaz this week to provide Thanksgiving baskets to these 11 families.

Each Thanksgiving basket will contain the following items:

  • 1 whole chicken
  • 2 boxes of Stove Top
  • 1 can of turkey gravy
  • 1 – 5lb bag of potatoes
  • 1 can of cranberry sauce
  • 1 bag of carrots
  • 1 package of biscuit mix
  • 2 cans of green beans

WHEN

All donations must be delivered to Crosspoint no later than 1 PM on Thursday, October 6.
