Crosspoint’s coordinated response to the COVID-19 pandemic impact locally
I want to update you on how we at Crosspoint may be able to help others in our community during this COVID-19 pandemic. As you know, we partner with Greener Village by volunteering in their clothing boutique each Saturday morning. We have currently suspended this volunteering outreach until further notice, as the boutique is now closed. I spoke with Alex Boyd, Executive Director of Greener Village today and he told me that their focus has turned to providing food and sanitary items for local families in need. We will be focusing our partnership with Greener Village within this context.Their greatest needs currently are for sanitary items (sanitizer, diapers, baby wipes, etc.). Items can be dropped off at Greener Village at the back door. Ring the doorbell there and someone will collect your items. Alex assured me that they are practicing social distancing and are keeping the facility clean at all times. They are also accepting monetary donations. These can be given online through e-transfer to: [email protected]
Alex also informed me that if there are families within our church community who need food or sanitary items, they can call Greener Village at 459-7461 for assistance.
This announcement will be shared with the entire Crosspoint family tomorrow through all of our online social platforms. I just wanted to let all of you know in advance.
Let me leave you with these encouraging words found in Mark 12:30-31 (The Message)
Jesus said, “The first in importance is, …love the Lord God with all your passion and prayer and intelligence and energy.’ And here is the second: ‘Love others as well as you love yourself.’ There is no other commandment that ranks with these.”
My prayer is that we will make this the reality of our lives as we seek to Make Jesus famous for the good of the city and the hope of the world!
Serving with you,
